Black cats all over London!

Friday 13^th is considered by some to be one of the unluckiest days of the year. This Friday 13^th, to mark the end of the UK's first ever Accident Awareness Week, we want to remind people that most minor accidents are not down to bad luck or superstition - but lack of care.

As black cats are the ultimate symbol of superstition, we have scattered more than 300 black toy cats around central London for people to find, to remind them not to leave their safety to chance. The cats have tags on them with instructions of how to be in with a chance of winning a cash prize. Everyone who tweets a picture of their black toy cat and the location they found it in using the hashtag #LuckyBlackCat and they will be entered into a draw and four people will win £200 of high street vouchers of their choice.

Every day a huge number of avoidable accidents happen in the UK. With new research by National Accident Helpline revealing that one in three Brits believe they are accident prone, we don't want you to leave anything to chance today. In fact, the only thing we want to cross Londoners' paths is a dose of good fortune. So happy cat hunting!

People who aren't fortunate enough to find a lucky toy cat on the streets of central London, or who live outside the capital, still have a chance to win a prize by posting a photo of their own (or a friend's) lucky black cat to @NatAccHelpline, with the hashtag #LuckyBlackCat

Winning entries will be drawn at 5pm.
