Charley-Anne Gordon

Congratulations to Charley-Anne Gordon, who has been named the winner in our Future Legal Mind Award 2019.

We have been running the competition for five years to find the most promising legal talents of tomorrow.

This year we were inundated with essays from law students and trainees, which our judging panel reviewed to choose a shortlist of nine people.

The nine finalists were all invited to submit a home-made video to support their essay entry.

From the essays and videos submitted, our judges chose 21-year-old Charley-Anne - who is in the final year of her Law degree at the University of Buckingham - as their Future Legal Mind.

Charley-Anne aspires become a leading legal academic and has just begun volunteering with Citizens Advice so she can help people to navigate the law.

Tom Fitzgerald, Managing Director of National Accident Helpline, said: "We received some excellent submissions from legal students and trainees this year. Charley-Anne's particularly stood out to us because her passion and determination was so clear."

For her prize, Charley-Anne will receive valuable mentoring and networking opportunities with a Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Ministry of Justice and experienced lawyers within our team.

She will also star in a showcase film highlighting her skills and receive a £2,000 prize fund.
