The undergraduate winner of the inaugural National Accident Helpline Future Legal Mind awards has said she expects to be "learning a great deal" as she begins a two-week work experience placement with leading law firm Colemans-ctts.
Amy Loughery, 20, fought off strong competition to claim the work experience placement and £5,000 study grant, with the awards taking place at the prestigious Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn.
I am very excited about my forthcoming placement,
the University of York student said.
As the firm has a speciality in serious personal injury I am looking forward to experiencing this area for the first time, as prospectively speaking, this is one of my preferred areas of practice.
It has been particularly interesting to read through some of the cases that Colemans-ctts have been involved in, such as those involving serious brain injuries, and to see what approach the firm takes.
National Accident Helpline and the Future Legal Mind judging panel wish Amy all the best for her placement, and we look forward to hearing what she takes from the experience.
Following the success of Future Legal Mind 2015, the award has now been launched as an annual scheme, offering a £5,000 grant and work experience with Colemans-ctts to one undergraduate and one postgraduate student.
