Following the successful launch of its latest TV ad ‘Red Tape', National Accident Helpline is running an exciting new animation competition in conjunction with its creative partner Aardman Animations.
The competition invites entrants to take up the theme of ‘Success Against the Odds' to create short animated films. The winner and a friend will win a personal behind-the-scenes tour at Aardman's studios in Bristol, a ‘make a Morph' workshop and a piece of Morph artwork signed by co-founder Peter Lord, plus travel to and from Bristol and a night's hotel accommodation. The winner and four runners up will all receive personalised feedback on their entries from the Aardman team.
National Accident Helpline's partnership with Aardman began in 2010 when the studio was commissioned to create the Underdog character, star of National Accident Helpline's TV advertisements. This hugely successful advertising campaign has gone from strength to strength ever since, with the much-loved Underdog, voiced by comic actor Joe Pasquale, repeatedly ‘succeeding against the odds' in a number of different scenarios. In his latest outing, released on 31 March, Underdog is surrounded by vast swathes of red tape before swiftly remembering that National Accident Helpline can help with all sorts of injuries and will provide him with simple, clear advice which will cut through the red tape.
The competition closes on 18 May. Shortlisted films will be judged by Aardman and hosted on the National Accident Helpline website before the winner is announced on 30 May.
